Iris Wiinikka brings a wealth of experience to MOOD Staging & Design. She has a BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art, where she met Beth Balogh. Iris has utilized her training in 2 & 3 dimensional design, color theory, metal smithing, drawing and painting in her work throughout her career. After marrying and starting a family she transitioned from being a self employed jewelry artist to working as a designer and consultant for Room Crafters, her late husband’s home remodeling, restoration and paint contracting business. In her capacity as a design consultant for the family business Iris helped clients with all aspects of renovation and design processes including space planing and the selection of construction materials, stain/paint colors, flooring, kitchen/bath fixtures, custom cabinets and furniture.
During her spare time Iris loves to watercolor, landscape and garden. Her creative flare, attention to detail and first hand practical knowledge of home renovation and space planning dovetails beautifully with the knowledge, design skills and artistic style that Beth brings to MOOD Staging & Design.
